The Hospitality Manager reports directly to the Catering Manager

The Hospitality Manager works closely with the Commercial Manager

JOB PURPOSE    To pro-actively seek to maximise The Hospitality Suite’s food, beverage and catering sales by delivering a quality service through well trained and well led staff.   The hospitality manager is also required to constantly review catering procedures and activities in order to recommend and implement improvements within our service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES    To ensure that at all times cleanliness, food safety and all other Health and Safety matters are adhered to so as not to breach any legislative points within the Food Safety Act 1990 or the Health and Safety at Work.

To ensure the consistent smooth running of our catering and events services at Somerset Park.

To undertake general food and beverage duties in addition to the delivery of event and function activities.

To control the Hospitality suite budgets relating to cost of sales and staffing costs, and be responsible for cash control, initial daily accounting, stock control and food safety aspects of the business.

To roster and support the administration of the Hospitality Team, deliver specific and on-going staff training programmes to the wider catering staff and ensure that all Hospitality staff comply with the working requirements and required standards, and be responsible for the day to day operational management at the Hospitality Suite

To maintain a high level of customer service with the aim of exceeding our guests’ expectations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE         Essential

Personal Licence Holder.

Experience at Management or Supervisory Level.

Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and Customer Care standards and procedures.

Knowledge of food hygiene and alcohol sales legislation.

Must be able to work out-with normal office hours, including evenings and week-ends on a regular basis.

Approachable, friendly disposition and able to lead and work with a team.
