Dunfermline match preview and Information

UNITED boss Ian McCall has pledged his players are “raring to go” as they head for table topping Dunfermline.

The Honest Men hit the road tomorrow with a fully fit squad – and McCall is promising to go after the free scoring Fifers.

The gaffer said on Friday: “The players are really up for this and can’t wait to get out there.

“Anyone who finishes above Dunfermline will win the league, so we know this will be a huge test.

“But in all positions of the park I believe we have players who can hurt them and we’ll be going there to make a game of it.”

Ayr sparked their season to life last time out when knocking five past Stenhousemuir at Somerset Park.

United have since enjoyed an 11 day break due to last Saturday’s Scottish Airshow but face a Pars side fresh off the back of a thumping 4-0 win at Forfar.

Ayr will also have to contend with a horror recent record against Dunfermline, having lost all four games against the Fifers last season.

And stretching further back, Ayr have won only two of the previous 26 league meetings between the clubs.

But McCall’s new-look line-up will bid to put that record to bed tomorrow in the clash of the league’s free scoring sides.

Everyone in the squad is fit and available.
