Mark said, ” like every Ayr United supporter I’ve always tried to do as much as I can for the club I’ve loved since I was a boy, be that paying through the gate, buying a season ticket, sponsoring a player or painting Somerset Park.
“When Lachlan asked me if I was interested in joining the Board, I felt truly honoured to accept. I see this as way for me to use my skills over the coming years help propel our club back to the top-tier of Scottish football where we all know it belongs. But first and foremost I’m a fan of Ayr United, Come on Ayr.”
United chairman Lachlan Cameron said :”I couldn’t be happier that Mark has agreed to join the Board. We are a working board in that everyone takes a role with responsibilities in different areas of the club so it is always a bonus when you can find someone like Mark who has been working hard as a volunteer in different projects either at the club or with supporters groups on a regular basis. Mark has a skill set that we plan to take advantage of and in particular a role that increase our direct connection with the support and continues to enhance the relationship between the club and all of our stakeholders”
